The New York Jets are coming off a much-needed bye week and have begun their season with a 3-3-0 mark. The New York Giants won their first home game of the season with a Week 7 victory over the Washington Commanders.

Join me as I break down the NFL betting odds and offer a prediction for the Jets at Giants for Sunday, October 29.

Betting Odds Analysis for Jets vs. Giants

DraftKings opened the Giants at even money (+100), but that number has moved to +124, and Caesars Sportsbook has the best price at +130. That’s a big jump, likely due to Giants QB Daniel Jones not being cleared to practice and the Giants barely defeating Washington at home.

Caesars opened the Giants +3.0 (+101), and while the number didn’t move, they adjusted the odds to -117. That is another major move by the sportsbooks to attract bets on the better number at an above-industry-standard price.

DraftKings has the same number with -115 juice; the best price currently available for +3.0.

Caesars opened the total at 36.5 (-110), and neither the number nor the juice has budged. Betway Sportsbook offers the same 36.5 number but at better prices (105), while everyone else in New Jersey has -110 or higher.

Jets vs. Giants Prediction

Since both teams play their home games at MetLife Stadium, we won’t have to worry about anything other than injuries and who will likely win this contest.

The Jets are coming off a bye week and enter this contest riding a two-game winning streak. The Jets have also covered the spread in each of their past three games, and the Over is 2-1 during their past three games.

The Giants snuck past Washington in Week 7 and have a 1-2 record over their last three games but are 2-1 ATS. They have suffered numerous injuries, and starting quarterback Daniel Jones is questionable after missing the past two games.

Giants reserve quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been solid without an interception and hasn’t been sacked in either of his past two starts.

I think the Jets can win this game, but I don’t believe they will cover the spread. Their offense isn’t that impressive, and the Giants’ defense has allowed just 21 points over their past two contests.

Finally, Taylor has been good for the Giants offense, and he and TE Darren Waller seem to have a connection, as evidenced by Waller’s 15 targets and 141 receiving yards over the past two contests.

Giants RB Saquan Barkley seems to be rounding into form and has scampered for 171 rushing yards over his last two games. They might lose to the Jets but should cover the +3.0 (-115) at DraftKings Sportsbook New Jersey

My Best Bet: Giants +3.0 (-115) DraftKings Sportsbook
