Following Rebuck’s departure, Deputy Director Mary Jo Flaherty will serve as the interim director of DGE. Flaherty, a respected lawyer with over 40 years of experience in gaming industry regulation, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
Her career with DGE began in 1979, and she holds a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School. Flaherty’s responsibilities have included overseeing casino licensing, financial analysis, employee licensing, and ensuring compliance with ethics and equal employment opportunity standards within the industry.
Rebuck’s contributions to the gaming enforcement division and the broader gaming industry will be commemorated with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 27th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress, making him only the fifth person in the congress’s history to receive such an honor.
