The Knicks have won four straight since their shocking trade with the Toronto Raptors for forward O.G. Anunoby. They welcome a Trail Blazers side coming off an overtime victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
Please join me as I share my three best NBA prop bets for Trail Blazers vs. Knicks on Tuesday, January 9.
Best Prop Bets for Wednesday, January 3
Julius Randle prop: Over 4.5 assists (+130) at FanDuel
Knicks forward Julius Randle has been swishing and dishing upon Anunoby’s arrival and has cleared this prop number in his last two games. He has a tasty matchup with a Portland squad, allowing 27.5 assists per night fueled by allowing a 26th-best 49% shooting from inside the arc but third-best defense from downtown.
New York is knocking down 39% from downtown since Anunoby’s arrival, and Randle has dropped five dimes in each of his last two. He and Anunoby are beginning to figure things out, and Randle has been more than willing to share the rock. Look for him to clear this one from FanDuel New Jersey early.
Julius Randle prop: Under 28.5 points (+105) at DraftKings
Randle scoring at least 29 points tonight in the Garden is entirely possible, but with New York favored by as many as -12 points, it’s unlikely the Knicks forward will get enough minutes to clear his DraftKings New Jersey scoring prop.
Randle hasn’t just been dishing but swishing as well. He’s cleared 29+ in three of his last five, but the Knicks don’t shoot the triple much at home, and Portland allows power forwards to shoot just 29% from downtown. The Knicks’ pace has been inconsistent. The three-point shot is a huge part of Randle’s arsenal, and I don’t see Randle clearing the number.
O.G. Anunoby Under 1.5 3-pointers made (+124) at FanDuel
Anunoby is a decent three-point shooter, knocking down 37% of his four triple attempts per game, but has cleared this prop number once in the four games since joining the Knicks.
Since joining the Knicks, Anunoby has been shooting 48.7% from the field and 37.5% from downtown, and tonight is facing one of the best three-point defenses in the NBA. He’s taking fewer triple attempts and looking aggressively to the basket with New York than he did in Toronto. Anunoby has cleared this mark four times over his last 10, and I don’t expect him to drain two triples tonight against the Blazers.
