The Los Angeles Lakers won the IST in no small part due to the play of reserve guard Austin Reeves.
Reeves scored 28 points against Indiana in the IST Final to lead the Lakers to the inaugural IST Championship. That performance likely aided in Reeves overtaking Dallas Mavericks small forward Tim Hardaway Jr (+300), also pushing New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley down the pecking order for now.

Austin Reeves +250
Los Angeles Lakers reserve guard Austin Reeves is enjoying a fine season coming off of the pine for the Lake Show. The third-year guard enjoys the most minutes (29.2) and points (14.5) of his career. He’s also snagging more caroms, dropping more dimes, and knocking down 35.5% from downtown and 86% from the charity stripe.
Tim Hardaway Jr. +300
While Reeves is enjoying a fine season for Los Angeles, veteran small forward Tim Hardaway Jr. is balling out for the Dallas Mavericks. The former Michigan Wolverine averages 31 minutes a night since Kyrie Irving suffered an injury without a timetable for return. Hardaway Jr. is draining 39% of his nine triple attempts per game, 42% from the field, but pedestrian stats in the other major scoring categories.
Immanuel Quickley +600
New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley was last season’s runner-up to Boston guard Malcolm Brogdon. Quickley is having a terrific season coming off the bench for the seventh-seed Knicks. Quickley enjoys the highest Usage Rate of his career (26%) and averages 24 minutes per night. The Knicks reserve drains 37% from downtown, but he’s widely inconsistent and probably won’t get enough minutes to win the award.
Cole Anthony +650
The Orlando Magic are the third seed in the East, and reserve point guard Cole Anthony is a big reason why. The fourth-year guard enjoys career highs in offensive rebounds and triples on 37.2 % shooting. Anthony will only remain on the leaderboard for as long as Orlando plays well, but Anthony won’t have a chance if the Magic struggle.
Malik Monk +800
The six-seed Sacramento Kings haven’t lived up to their preseason hype, but that isn’t the fault of seventh-year guard Malik Monk. Monk is getting 25 minutes per night and is enjoying career highs in scoring (14.7), three-point percentage (43.1 %), and dimes (4.9). Monk only wins the award if the Kings do, which might be difficult in a tough Western Conference.
