The Jets are a +3.5 (-115) point home underdog at FanDuel Sportsbook New Jersey and enter this Week 9 contest riding a three-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the Chargers ended a two-game losing streak with a 30-13 Week 8 home victory over the Chicago Bears but are 1-2-0 on the road this season.
Who will win this AFC matchup? Find out when I break down the odds and offer my best bets and prediction for Chargers vs. Jets on Monday, November 6.
Chargers vs. Jets City Odds Analysis
Los Angeles opened as -122 moneyline favorite and that number has swelled to -190 at FanDuel. That’s a big move for a 1-2 away team against a home team riding a three-game winning streak.
The Chargers opened as -1.5 (-110) favorite and that number shifted to -3.5 (-106). That’s another big move likely precipitated by the Jets offensive line injury woes and a lack of belief in New York.
FanDuel opened this game with a 43 (-110) total but that number has dipped to 39.5 (-110). That is a reaction to both teams offensive woes and sucked all of the value out of the Under market.

Chargers vs. Jets Best Bet
This is a difficult matchup to call for Monday night. The Chargers offense is one of the best but they are missing wideouts Michael Williams and Joshua Palmer and that is going to hurt against what appears to be an elite New York Jets defense.
The Chargers moneyline play is out as all of the value was sucked out of the betting line by last Monday. I don’t know about you but I have very little interest in laying nearly 2-1 on a Chargers side with difficulties sealing the deal on the road.
That leaves us with either the spread or the total. Laying -3.5 is never a good idea. The final margin of the majority of NFL contests is three-points and you would need a pretty good reason to lay -3.5 on the road against the Jets defense.
So, we’ve eliminated the Chargers but we should consider taking the +3.5 and betting on the New York Jets to cover the spread. New York is 4-2-0 ATS this season and playing at home gives them a three-point edge. Los Angeles is 1-2-0 ATS this season as the away side and they are missing too many key offensive pieces. The Jets defense is elite and they will be the main reason why New York covers the three-point spread at FanDuel.
My Best Bet: New York Jets +3.5 (-115) at FanDuel Sportsbook
